Illustrated print of "hiragana", Japanese alphabet. Mastering hiragana will be the first step to learn Japanese language. I made this poster originally in 2018 in A1 size to help my daughter learning Japanese. Printed in 120 gsm pure white matte paper. It's A3 size and printed with Riso, at East London studio by me.
I chose each sample vocabularies very carefully from my childhood customs, food I used to enjoy or household objects we had and experiences from growing up in rural countryside in Japan. This print is second edition, some references are updated with requests from my friends.
Putting up this print will help you learn hiragana, enjoy the illustrations of some slightly retro and obscure Japanese objects.
420mm x 297mm
Please note the visual textures and some registration are sometimes inconsistent or uneven with Riso. These are characteristic of the printing method and not a "mistake".
