About

Hello, I'm Takako.

I am Japanese illustrator and print maker based in London. Grew up in abundance of nature and being aware of changing seasons always inspired me to create with colours. I graduated with an honours degree in Graphic Design from Central Saint Martins. I am interested in building up images with layers of colours hence Letterpress and Riso are my preferred printing method. My illustration often focuses on characters, domestic scenes and family life. I would describe my style as vibrant, joyful and humorous. I am a member at London Centre for Book Arts where I am often found printing with cylinder proof press or carving lino blocks.

I ran a lifestyle store in Clerkenwell for 14 years. During the time, my wares has been sold at Liberty of London, V&A and Tate Modern shop.

On this site, you will find greetings cards and prints at my shop. There's also a portfolio page with example of my recent illustration works.
